Cause Related Marketing

A cause related marketing program is a great way to associate with a well-known organization and reach new audiences with information about your product or service. For instance, many companies donate a portion of their sales to Special Olympics Oklahoma in return for the use of our logo in their company’s marketing materials. In addition, Special Olympics Oklahoma supports a company’s marketing efforts for the partnership by informing our loyal army of volunteers and supporters through written materials and web site postings.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS:
TEAM UP WITH A WINNER

Consumer Values have changed and a company’s level of social responsibility and community involvement is now a key factor in their purchasing decisions. But creating brand preference and driving sales are just two of the many reasons companies like Cox Communications, Coca-Cola and Procter & Gamble partner with Special Olympics.

Here are a few others:

  • Universal Impact. Between athletes, donors and volunteers, Special Olympics touches the lives of one in every six families in America.
  • Vast Recognition. Special Olympics, the world’s largest amateur sports organization with nearly one million athletes and 250 thousand coaches in 140 countries, enjoys a whopping 95 percent recognition rate in America*.
  • State Recognition. Special Olympics Oklahoma is Oklahoma’s largest amateur sports organization with over 9,500 athletes, 1,700 coaches and 5,000 volunteers.
  • Loyalty. When price and quality are equal, 80% of Special Olympics Oklahoma supporters would be likely to purchase or switch to a service or product offered by a sponsor of Special Olympics Oklahoma over their competitors**.
  • Unrivaled Favorability. Named “the most credible charity in America” by the Chronicle of Philanthropy and rated “Number One”, in a Procter & Gamble study, compared to national and international charities.
  • Overwhelming Support. Special Olympics has a loyal army of more than five million donors and five hundred thousand volunteers in the U.S.
