What if I don't want to get wet?
|
We are calling all brave men and women for our 6th annual Polar Bear Plunge! We are excited to announce that there will be three Polar Plunge locations this year: The Bass Pro Shop Outdoor World in Oklahoma City and Tulsa and the Arrowhead-Thunderbird Resort on the Illinois River in Tahlequah! You can pick the location nearest to you and be a part of this statewide event. To participate, you must collect a "bear" minimum of $25. You can register online and set up your own personal fundraising webpage or download a registration form. We hope to see you in February! What if I don't want to get wet? What is a Polar Plunge? The Polar Plunge is a very popular special event among Law Enforcement Torch Run volunteers across the country. Approximately 24 Polar Plunges take place every year in 15 U.S. states, helping to raise millions of dollars for Special Olympics Programs. In 2006, Polar Plunge participants raised over $11,000 for Special Olympics Oklahoma! For more information on this event, contact Derek Cain at 918-481-1234. |
