The 2008 International Torch Run Conference will be held Oct. 30 - Nov. 2 in Dallas, Texas. Every year, the International Conference provides an opportunity for Torch Run volunteers to network, share and learn how to improve their local Torch Run programs, which contribute greatly to increasing public awareness and enhancing the lives of Special Olympics athletes throughout the world.

The 2007 International Torch Run Conference was held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma form Oct. 331 - Nov. 3. At the annual conference more than 1,100 officers and law enforcement personnel joined together to learn ways to further raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics. Attendees were blown away by the extensive detail put into every part of the conference. From a Native American inspired Opening Ceremonies, exceptional guest speakers and dignitaries and Oklahoma influenced parties and events, the conference wa an overall tribute to Oklahoma's athletes, Torch Run program and Special Olympics movement.
