Super Plunge

_The 2012 Super Plungers and Super Plunger Teams will take not one, not two but 24 chilly dips at White Water Bay over a 24-hour period. The Goal of this super sized event? To raise both funds and awareness for the athletes of Special Olympics Oklahoma.

You too can be a fan of Special Olympics Oklahoma by making a contribution in honor of your favorite Super Plunger!

The Super Plunge Team welcomes spectators, so friends and family are encouraged to check out the icy action during park visiting hours.

Super Plunge FAQ's

What is the Super Plunge? Over a 24 hour period, Super Plungers will take 24 icy dips (once every hour) into the frigid water at White Water Bay. All Super Plungers will live in a heated tent at White Water Bay during this intense, fun and wild round-the-clock adventure.

When is the Super Plunge? The first plunge will take place at noon on Friday, February 3. The last plunge will be at 11 AM on Saturday, February 4 with the rest of the Polar Plungers.

How will our Super Plungers survive? Don’t worry. We’ll take good care of them. We’ll feed them, keep them comfortable & warm and keep them entertained. We promise that it will be a fun adventure.

Why would anyone want to be a Super Plunger? We think it’s obvious. Super Plungers are extreme. Elite. They are people that want to be a part of something special. They also want to help Special Olympics Oklahoma in our mission of offering training and competition opportunities to adults and children with intellectual disabilities.

So, you think you have what it takes. How can you be a Super Plunger? Super Plunge isn’t for the faint of heart and we know it’s not for everyone. If you are brave enough, tough enough and crazy enough, we want you. We ask that you raise a minimum of $1,000 for the privilege of being a Super Plunger or $3,500 for Super Plunge Team of 4. We are limiting the 2012 Super Plunge to 20 people.

What if I can’t raise $1,000? Unfortunately, we cannot allow you to be a part of the Super Plunge if you do not raise $1,000 by midnight on Thursday, February 2. If you do not raise $1,000, we will still love and adore you. You will be put into a plunge group for the regular Oklahoma City Polar Plunge on Saturday, February 4 at 11 AM.
