Special Olympics Oklahoma is divided into 14 geographic areas. Each Area is managed by a Volunteer Area Management Team. Area events are managed by the Area Director and the Area Management Team. These Teams administer programs across the state and are comprised of volunteers who work year-round to plan, organize and conduct sports training and competition events for athletes and coaches in their area.
Competitions are conducted in the spring and fall in each of the 14 geographic areas throughout the state. Athletes then qualify to compete in four state-wide competitions; Winter Games, Summer Games, Soccer and Equestrian.
